Bilingual hop is here!

Finally! Can you believe it? Today you will meet amazing bilingual teachers that are sharing free resources for your classroom. You are probably already used to creating your own activities, translating forms and translating activities. All of that, is time consuming and sometimes impossible to do when you have to do everything else.

One of my biggest dilemmas has been going to staff meetings, conferences and PLCs (Professional Learning Communities) and getting GREAT ideas that I can't use in my class because they are not available in Spanish. That is one thing we can't change today, but we definitely can help YOU save time. We know how hard teachers have to work, and all that we all have to do.  We are kick starting teacher appreciation week by giving you something for your class that you won't have to translate!

It was hard to choose, so I decided to ask on my Facebook page. I wanted to share something you can use in the near future. It is almost summer so I decided to go with My Ocean Project.

This is perfect when you do an ocean research project and even if you don't, you can also use this as a summative assessment on any subject. Parents and students absolutely LOVE this.  I hope you like it and if you have time, please let me know what you think by leaving feedback. Cinco de Mayo Bilingual Teacher Blog Hop

Hello!
Thank you for reading my first post! I am excited to launch my blog with a great upcoming giveaway. I will be participating on an amazing blog hop for bilingual teachers.

Do you sometimes say "I would love to use that in my classroom but is not in Spanish"? Do you get excited when you see that the activity you want is in Spanish, only to find out it was translated on the internet with a lot of grammatical errors?

What makes this an unique blog hop experience for bilingual teachers, is that you will find products that were specifically designed for your Spanish speaking students and created by bilingual teachers.

The bilingual hop will start on May 3rd to May 5th. That's right, right before teacher appreciation week! All you have to do is visit a participating blog, and that blog will have a link so that you can "hop" to the next great free resource. I know you must be busy, so let me remind you before it starts on Twitter, Facebook, or Pinterest. I can't wait!

Welcome!

Hello everybody!
My name is Juliana Suarez. I started my second year as a kindergarten bilingual teacher for gifted and talented students.  My heart is in bilingual and gifted education. I was a bilingual assistant for kinder-fifth grade teachers for about five years before teaching 2nd grade, and then moved to kinder.

I am very excited to bring you quality products in Spanish and English that you can use in your classroom. I love to hear your ideas and create the bilingual version. My goal is to create resources for students that already know Spanish and for those who want to learn a new language!

I am from Bogotá, Colombia. I am married and have two wonderful stepchildren and two dogs. I am very excited that you are taking the time be part of my blog. I am looking forward to meet and interact with all of you.
